WHO IS CARING FOR YOUR CHILD
Supervisor - Lene Darracott
Mrs Darracott has over 35 years of experience in pre-school education and has been at Benenden Pre-school for 23 years, originally joining as Deputy Supervisor during her daughter’s second year with us, then taking over as Supervisor in 1995. She has numerous qualifications including a Level 3 in Childcare and Education. Lene is originally from Denmark and sometimes entertains the children with Danish songs. She has two grown-up children and lives with her husband Rob in Cranbrook. She is our ‘Designated Person’ for Child Protection issues.

Deputy Supervisor - Lucy Whitestone
We are very lucky to have Lucy on our staff, as she is a fully qualified school teacher. She has recently also been awarded the new Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) qualification, and she has four years pre-school experience. Lucy is a mother to 3 children, and is also our 'SENCO' (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator).

Assistant Supervisor - Kate Butler
Kate has recently achieved her Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education, and has been appointed as an Assistant Supervisor. She has been with us for almost 4 years now and, as well as working for the pre-school she also finds time to raise 2 children. Kate is our Health and Safety manager.

Assistant - Julie Jenkins
Julie has now returned to us following her maternity leave. She is working towards her Level 3 qualification, and we wish her the best of luck with her studies. Julie is our named practitioner for Behaviour Management issues.

Assistant - Fiona Brothers
Fiona is another one of our mums, who has been one of our Assistants for over a year. She is now about to complete her Level 2 qualification in Childcare and Education.
