Children are welcomed to Pre-school.

9.15 Registration
Where we talk about the theme of the day and look at the weather board as we discuss the day, date & month. The children love being chosen to help and all enjoy counting the number of children attending, sometimes even in French.
TOP
Free Play
The children are able to choose for themselves what they would like to play with, whether it’s dressing up, playing in the large home area or with the hundreds of toys and puzzles. The easels are always set up should they wish to paint, and we also have an indoor sand table and a drawing table, so there is plenty to entertain your child.
TOP
Arts, Crafts & Activities
While free play goes on, the children are encouraged to join the activity table in small groups to make today's creation, which might be junk modelling, sewing, painting, cutting or sticking. We are pleased to be able to offer regular yoga sessions with a visiting qualified instructor, and we also love to cook with the children as they always enjoy being involved, especially when they get to eat their efforts.

10.30 Snack Time
After tidying up, the children take it in turns to count how many cups are needed and collect a tray with the appropriate number of cups. Milk or water and a varied healthy snack are provided, and special cultural and dietary needs can be met by arrangement.

Books & Story Time
The children choose a library book to look at until it is time to go into the other room for story time, where we all read a book together .

Outdoor Play
We encourage the children to put on their own coats and boots and we go out into our lovely garden, they enjoy running around and we have lots of ride on toys to choose from plus a sandpit and slide with climbing frame.
